Frequently Asked Questions
If you have a question for the experts please email
it to us now and we will post an answer below.
How can I tell what music is allowed for the
civil ceremony?
Chat to your music supplier. Lyrica wedding singers
have 12 years experience sorting out which songs are suitable, and they
will be able to advise you. Generally, anything that has religious connotations
is not acceptable, but there are many beautiful songs that are appropriate.
If you have a Blessing ceremony after the civil service, any religious
songs can be performed at that point, and obviously, any religious songs
are always appropriate for a traditional church wedding ceremony.
Aside from the usual hip flasks & tankards,
what other 'thank you' presents ideas does anybody have for the groomsmen?
Jayne from FROCKS & TAILS at home offers a wide range of 'groomsmen
gifts' for sale between £8.00 - £30.00 . The range includes
- tie pins, tie pin & cufflinks sets, fob watches and personalised
cufflinks saying - Groom, Best Man, Brides Fathers, Grooms Father, Groomsman
& usher. All come in a choice of silver or gold. The current best
seller is an engraveable working fob watch and chain at £25.00.
Some of the gifts come free as part of a suit hire package.
What kind of flower availablity is there out of
season?
Carene from Greenfields florists answers that a vast
majority of flowers are now available all year round with exception
to spring flowers, however most tulips and daffs etc. are available
from mid December through to April. As the global market opens there
is an array of exotics from as far as Columbia and Israil. But if your
after low carbon footprint flowers your best bet is to go with local
grown flowers available only in when in season.
